Ecstatic Sound Movement is an elusively simple but profound means of catching the sacred emotion that sparks an inner fire, circulates spiritual electricity, and inspires soulful creativity.
ESM uses special audio recordings that are spiritually engineered to guide effortless, spontaneous movement. It’s based on over fifty years of exploring the synchronized acoustic and kinetic phenomena behind ecstatic spirituality.
We explore the deeper aspects of Ecstatic Sound Movement in the Guild, but you can try it right now in its most basic form using the following instructions. Note: it’s simplest to perform ESM on a sturdy bench or chair to facilitate sound concentration and movement spontaneity.
1. Before you begin, take a few deep breaths. Breathe smoothly, naturally, and without effort. Feel your body become lighter.
2. Play a track from the list below. The basic instructions are simple: allow your body to be moved by the sounds you hear. Catch the feeling inside the sound and surrender your body to spontaneous movement. Breathe, listen, and move! When the track ends, have another round. The more you tinker with ESM, the more its three-lettered mysteries will begin to unfold.
